A SLOW FLOW class with more instruction and emphasis on foundation postures and correct alignment. More time is spent teaching the fundamentals of yoga postures and techniques. A gentle approach combining strength, flexibility and stamina. You’ll get to experience the postures and adjust them so they feel good in your body as well as gain confidence to move to the more dynamic FLOW classes when you are ready.
All welcome.
This is an AYF combination class. Half an hour of slow flow gentle stretching movement followed with half an hour of grounding restorative yoga. This is an ideal ‘wind down’ class for the end of the day.

This is a DYNAMIC VINYASA style class where students are encouraged to develop and deepen their practice within a nurturing environment. The emphasis is placed on creating a flowing connection between the breath and movement combined with a sense of stillness in the mind. This is a general level class with options to challenge/rest. Preferable to have some yoga experience.
The early morning classes are open to all levels, including varying sequences of postures to build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength. They are designed to wake you up, challenge and inspire you. A one hour class that offers the space and opportunity to prepare the mind for the day ahead whilst feeling invigorated and energized within the body.
General level class. Preferable to have some yoga experience.
This is a restorative yoga class that is designed to move slowly as means to calm the mind and nervous system giving students the opportunity to turn inward, and focus on the breath and relaxation. This style is less physically challenging than the stronger ‘yang’ style flow classes on offer at AYF. The postures and gentle transitions will encompass elements of hatha, restorative and yin yoga. These classes are tailored to encourage space and opening with as much support as required with emphasis on nurturing you from the inside out.
Suitable for all abilities.
Set Flow is a flowing style created by Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machliss. Dan is the only qualified teacher currently teaching the Yoga Synergy’s Fundamentals sequence in Adelaide. The Fundamentals sequence is an energising practice available to people of all levels of fitness and ability. Set Flow is based on the Asthanga vinyasa sequence. You will experience a flowing set sequence of postures that flows and aims to create optimal spinal movement. The method is taught with simple through to complex versions, enabling you to vary the intensity of your practice.
General level class. Preferable to have some yoga experience.
Learn the fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga in an open and supportive environment, with the opportunity to ask questions at each stage. This course is designed over 4 weeks to progressively give you the skills and confidence to practice vinyasa yoga at AYF. Learn how to move smoothly and fluidly in between postures (asana); we learn to flow by listening to our bodies and cultivating the breath to focus the mind and cultivate calmness. We will demonstrate how to modify / use props to suit your needs, whilst participating in group / mixed level classes.
