Autumn YIN Workshop with Amy
Yin Yoga is a restorative style of yoga that uses long-held postures that open and restore the energy pathways of the body & mind, nourishes the connective tissues in the body, & promotes greater physical flexibility.
In the Taoist tradition, the autumn season represents the metal element, which in the body is connected to the lung and large intestine organs, responsible for separating what is essential from the waste. When the metal energy (chi/Qi) is flowing in the body we feel harmonious, confident, we can accept change gracefully, & we feel spacious and free on a physical, mental and emotional level.
This 2 hour extended Yin autumn practice will allow space to reflect on what the season honours with postures focussed to stimulate the Lung & Large intestine meridians.
Connecting to the natural transformation that autumn brings, we will allow space for letting go, reflecting on what is now essential and what no longer serves us & can be left behind.
We will explore a variety of postures, breath and meditation practices that will aim to assist this energetic shift, leaving you feeling nourished & ready to flow with the rhythm of life.
