Master Yang Workshop // 20th - 22nd November
We have exciting news!!
Following our fantastic weekend in the company of Simon Borg-Olivier, we are pleased to announce that one of Simon's influential teachers will be at Adelaide Yoga Flow for a workshop weekend in November.
This will be an amazing opportunity to learn from an Internal Energy Specialist, Master Zhen Hua Yang.
Master Zhen Hua Yang has 45 years of experience in Qigong and various martial arts that form the basis of his unique yogic exercise system, Calligraphy Health, which can teach people how to generate internal power through breathing, postures and mental focus.
You will be taught a step by step practice to resolve back pain, improve functional ability and increase overall health and longevity.

Master Zhen Hua Yang has been involved in human movement since a young child. His first teachers were the martial arts, and energy masters of Shaolin and WuDang Temples. His teachers, from these temples, were of a very high skill level. They included Hai Deng from Shaolin, who was most famous for his one-finger stand. His teacher from WuDang was an elderly Taoist monk who shared with him knowledge about ying/yang balance, Qi energy production, well-being for your life and human longevity. He passed on knowledge about relationships and love. As Master Yang started to get older, his father and grandfather passed onto him their 400 year old family martial arts system, with this too being closely guarded and not available to the general public.
In the early 90s Master Yang moved to Australia, and while here, decided to privately teach his unique martial arts system. It was during this time that Master Yang had a “realization” in connection to sports; and how to apply his power and reflex methods to them. Not long after this, he started training his power techniques to rugby teams, swimmers, tennis players and cricketers with great success. By the turn of the century, Master Yang was getting more involved with other areas of movement and power, outside the martial arts. He was getting interest from practicing yogi’s as well as elite athletes wishing to enhance their explosive power and life force energy.
By 2008 he started putting together the foundations for Calligraphy Health, through his Calligraphy Yoga system. These foundations were based on a 3-dimensional model, incorporating three main circulations within the human body; blood circulation, mental/nervous circulation and digestive circulation. Master Yang considers these circulations to be“the pillar” of longevity and good health which is why they are points of focus. Additionally, his yoga system has been in development for sixteen years and is a direct result of reflex mind combined with his knowledge of 3-D movement (based on unbroken, Chinese calligraphy writing), energy production and yogic postures. His belief is that all yoga should be alive, with Qi energy powering every movement. Moreover, that this energy can be held and controlled within us, by us, for our own well-being or can be transmitted to others for the purpose of healing.
Master Yang’s goal is to see more and more people reach a high level of health. He wants people to be able to enjoy their lives because they are still mobile and functioning; happy, grounded, peaceful, and exuding positive energy.
